MPI Nabs Cannibal Flick Gnaw

Gnaw nabbed by MPI!MPI Media Group has acquired the UK cannibal film Gnaw for distribution in the U.S., or so says Variety this morning. We’ve not heard a helluva lot about this one, but according to MPI vide president of acquisitions Greg Newman, “This is British horror at its most base, vile and rude; fans will love it.”

Hey, I’m a fan, will I love it? Hopefully I will, yes! Gnaw is the story of a group of friends (groan) who speed off to a secluded cabin (double groan) for a weekend of forgetting their cares, only to be pursued by a family of cannibals (slightly less emphatic groan).

So yeah, it’s not a new premise on any level but as with most things in our beloved genre, it’s all about execution. Gnaw will next be seen on the big screen at the Fantasporto Film Festival in Portugal, which runs February 20th to March 1st. As soon as we hear of MPI’s release plans for it, we’ll let you know! For now, dig the very not work safe trailer below and hit the official Gnaw site to learn more.
