10 Netflix Horror Movies Viewers Were Too Terrified To Finish

We all spend a lot of time scrolling Netflix looking for horror movies we haven’t seen yet. However, sometimes we get a little more than we bargained for. This is why a section of subscribers find themselves turning some films off after getting too scared. It could never be me, but I’m interested in this phenomenon. So, I’m happy that Netflix crunched the numbers, did some research, and gifted the people at Forbes the ten scary movies most people were too terrified to finish.

According to Forbes, “The criteria was that Netflix users made it at least 70% of the way through the movie, but turned it off en masse before finishing it.” So, check out this list to see if you’re metal enough for these movies. Or if you agree with the Netflix users got off of these rides.

Cabin Fever (2016)

Where You Can Watch: Tubi

A flesh-eating disease ruins the vacation plans for a group of college friends in this remake. I’m sure the infectious disease was a huge reason people hit stop on this one. So, kudos to the special effects makeup team for making people sick.

Carnage Park (2016)

Where You Can Watch: Plex, The Roku Channel, and Tubi

Bank robbers find themselves trapped in the wilderness and at the mercy of an ex-military sniper. This survival horror is set in the 70s, so it gets style points. However, the fact that they end up in a place called Carnage Park is a huge warning to those of us who aren’t metal enough to be here.

México Bárbaro (2014)

Where You Can Watch: PlexPlutoTV, and Tubi

This horror anthology sees eight Mexican directors taking turns giving us nightmares. Each scary story is based on Mexican legends and myths. It’s also one of Gigi Saul Guerrero’s first features. So, if you make it through these terrifying tales, you can see where that exciting filmmaker began.

Piranha (2010)

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A group of teens must band together to stop prehistoric man-eating fish with razor-sharp teeth. This movie is ridiculous and has an all-star cast, that makes it hard to look away from. I’m very surprised to see it on the list though, and I am now wondering if some of y’all just have a fish phobia.

Raw (2016)

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A vet student begins craving human flesh. Julia Ducournau is a wild girl, so I’m not surprised some people couldn’t finish this cannibal soup she served us. If you really want your mind blown, pair this with her other movie Titane

Teeth (2007)

Where You Can Watch: Freevee and Tubi

A high school student discovers she’s not like the other girls when her vagina starts taking a bite out of crime. This movie is a moment and introduced Vagina dentata to our vocabularies. I would’ve watched at least two more hours of men getting chewed up and spit out. The movie does contain scenes of sexual assault, so proceed with caution.

The Conjuring (2013)

Where You Can Watch: Max

Ed and Lorrain Warren must help a family fight off evil entities living in their farmhouse. This is arguably the scariest movie in The Conjuring Universe (TCU), so it scans this is the one people might not be able to finish. Those of us who make it through are hooked for life though.

The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence (2011)

Where You Can Watch: Tubi

A weirdo sets out to create a 12-person centipede. This movie sounds like a literal shit fest. I refused to hit play on this franchise, so I’m not surprised people couldn’t finish it. I’m fine with body horror, but I draw the line at literally everything else I suspect will come out of this scenario and into someone else’s mouth.

The Void (2016)

Where You Can Watch: CracklePeacockPlex, and Redbox

A police officer drops a patient off at a hospital and then finds themself in the center of a battle between good and evil. This movie is trippy, dippy, and then some. I’m going to rewatch it to better understand how it can be too much for some people.

Jeruzalem (2015)

Where You Can Watch: VOD

In this Epic Pictures original, an American couple travel to Jerusalem and stumble upon a biblical nightmare. This sounds like the “You should have stayed at home” subgenre of horror I live for. These movies could never be me because I don’t even want to walk a couple of blocks to get my own groceries. Happy horror movie tourists are more excited than I am.

Do you agree that these movies are too scary to handle? Or do you put these on when you’re ready for Netflix and Chill? Let me know at @misssharai.
