Tribeca 2021: Video Interview – Director Josh Ruben on Bloody Good WEREWOLVES WITHIN

Werewolves Within is the sophomore feature film from award-winning actor, writer, and director Josh Ruben. His debut feature film, the horror-comedy Scare Me, delighted horror fans and is available to watch on Shudder.

After a proposed pipeline creates divisions within the small town of Beaverfield, and a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn, newly arrived forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) must try to keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community.

Werewolves Within is a witty horror-comedy whodunit and is based on a Ubisoft, VR video game of the same name. The film was directed by Josh Ruben and written by screenwriter and bestselling author, Mishna Wolff (I’m Down). The film features an amazing ensemble cast of comedy notables including Sam Richardson (Veep, Detroiters), Milana Vayntrub (This is Us), George Basil (Crashing), Sarah Burns (Barry), Michael Chernus (Tommy), Catherine Curtin (Orange is the New Black), Wayne Duvall (The Hunt), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Rebecca Henderson (Russian Doll), Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock), Michaela Watkins (Brittany Runs a Marathon), and Glenn Fleshler (True Detective).

Werewolves Within premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and IFC Films will release the film in theaters on June 25th and on Digital Rental and VOD on July 2nd.
