Viking Noir 'Dark Skulls' Uncovers Series of Ritualistic Killings in Search of Daughter

Filming has wrapped in Norway on the psychological thriller Dark Skulls, starring Thor Rosland (The Pendragon Cycle) as Rolf, a former Viking warrior pulled into a spiraling mystery after his daughter disappears, uncovering ritualistic killings marked by a cryptic sigil as paranoia, myth, and buried guilt take hold.

Deadline reports the full cast as:

  • Ragga Ragnars plays Freya, the child’s mother, an unrelenting force who begins her own investigation as the village attributes the deaths to the Gods.
  • Christopher Rygh is Vili, the calculating right-hand to Jarl Hakon (Paul Blair), the village’s strategic and powerful leader.
  • Magnus Samuelsson portrays Ivar, a feared and exiled Berserker whose violent past makes him the prime suspect.
  • Sue Maund plays the Seer, a mysterious spiritual figure whose rituals blur the line between prophecy and madness.

Dark Skulls is written, directed, and produced by Alex Morsanutto, founder of Silvermine Productions.

Principal photography has wrapped following a 25-day shoot on location across Norway, including Gudvangen, Avaldsnes, and surrounding fjord regions. The production leaned into practical locations and natural light.
