Film Movement Bites Into Vampire Thriller ‘Love Kills’ [Trailer]
Film Movement has acquired North American distribution rights to Brazilian director Luiza Schelling Tubaldini’s romantic thriller Love Kills, about vampires chasing vampires, from Reel Suspects, reports ScreenDaily.
Love Kills is set in São Paulo’s crack-ravaged downtown neighborhood and centers on a young vampire haunting a dirty café where a naïve waiter uncovers her secrets and gets swept into the city’s underbelly and perilous world of immortal intrigue.
Schelling Tubaldini described her debut feature as “a drama about outcast women and sexual abuse, with a thriller element in a vampire universe.”
The film is playing at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) this month and will be released in Brazilian cinemas on April 21.
It world premiered at last year’s Sitges Film Festival in Spain.
