The STRANGER THINGS 3 Video Game Gets a Delightful Trailer

Remember when video game tie-ins to movies and shows were a major thing? Beavis & Butthead, Animaniacs, Judge Dredd, Robocop, etc… For a while there, nearly everything was getting a video game. But that time came to an end and such adaptations were more of a novelty, something rarely done and usually they were similar in name only. For Netflix and BonusXP, the company that made the first Stranger Things: The Game, those days are back again!

Below is a trailer for Stranger Things 3: The Game, which follows the events of the upcoming third season of Netflix’s show. The first game originally followed the first season but an update brought in characters and themes from the second season.

The notable differences from the first game to this one are that the perspective has changed. Instead of a top-down view, the camera is perched at an angle. It’s kind of like the difference between The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario RPG. The graphics are basically the same but some subtle differences can make it feel fresh and exciting all over again.

Stranger Things 3: The Game comes to all platforms on July 4.
