New Eerie Trailer Announces ‘Silent Hill: Townfall’ Set to Arrive on PS5 this September!

The news continues to roll out of Sony’s State of Play event. We just reported on Until Dawn 2 coming our way. Along with that, we have a new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, plus an announcement date for this September!
The official synopsis reads: “Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest. Venturing deeper, and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.”
While the trailer doesn’t reveal too much new footage, it nails the eerie atmosphere that fans associate with the fog-drenched games.
Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Both Silent Hill F and the Silent Hill 2 remake were bangers. In fact, I’d call the Silent Hill 2 remake one of the scariest games of all time. Forget the movie based on that story, Return to Silent Hill. Play the game instead. And with Townfall carrying heavy seaside town vibes? I need it yesterday.
Townfall is developed by Screen Burn and published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive.
We have now learned that the game will release on September 24th, 2026, on PS5 and PC.
