Capcom Releases Free ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ Minigame: “LEON MUST DIE FOREVER”

If you thought Leon S. Kennedy was done, think again. Resident Evil Requiem, now officially the fastest-selling Resident Evil game in franchise history, has released a brand new free minigame titled “LEON MUST DIE FOREVER,” available starting today across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW.
The extra game mode unlocks after players complete the main campaign and shifts the focus heavily toward nonstop combat featuring legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Players revisit previously explored locations from the main game while battling stronger enemy variants, racing against the clock, and working through five escalating difficulty ranks before taking on the final boss.
The mode also introduces Leon’s new “enhancer abilities,” which are exclusive to “LEON MUST DIE FOREVER.” Players can fill an enhancement gauge by defeating enemies, allowing them to unlock temporary boosts and combat upgrades throughout each run.
According to Capcom, the order of stages, progression paths, and available enhancement abilities change between playthroughs, adding a stronger replay element to the mode.
Alongside the release of the new minigame, Capcom also announced several new updates and additions for Resident Evil Requiem, including:
- Various bug fixes across all platforms
- PC support for the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion sensor functionality
- New “LEON MUST DIE FOREVER” merchandise including shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies available through Amazon
- The first-ever Resident Evil amiibo figures launching July 30 featuring Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy
Resident Evil Requiem marks the latest mainline installment in the long-running survival horror franchise and brings players back to Raccoon City, where Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy confront the horrors tied to the infamous Raccoon City Incident.
