‘Exquisite Corpses: The Game’ Trailer Teases a Blood-Soaked Killer Showdown
The official trailer for Exquisite Corpses: The Game is getting an early reveal ahead of next week’s Kickstarter launch, and it looks every bit as chaotic and blood-soaked as fans hoped.
Based on the hit Image Comics series created by James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh, the tabletop card game throws players into the middle of a brutal Halloween battle royale where 12 killers fight to become the last one standing, as explained in the soon-to-launch Kickstarter.
Tiny Onion describes the game as a “social strategy battle royale tabletop card game,” blending elements of games like Magic: The Gathering and Ultimate Werewolf. Players choose their favorite killer, form alliances, bluff, betray each other, and fight for survival until only one remains.
Needing only a deck of cards and some dice, a group of 4-12 players each pick their favorite killer and proceed to attack, bluff, and barter with their fellow killers until just one remains.
Exquisite Corpses has quickly become one of the wildest horror comics on shelves, following twelve elite killers unleashed on a small town during a secret Halloween death match orchestrated by America’s wealthiest families. The brutal first season is now racing toward its finale with Issue #13 set to bring the deadly game to a close.
The Kickstarter for Exquisite Corpses: The Game launches Tuesday, May 12.
