Disappear Into the ‘Backrooms’ Game from Puppet Combo this May
I’m a big fan of liminal horror, so of course I’m excited for A24’s Backrooms hitting theaters this month. But apparently, that’s not the only Backrooms title coming soon. Puppet Combo, the self-described “Triple-B horror game developer” has announced their own Backrooms game arriving on consoles soon!
Posted on X, Puppet Combo teases their Backrooms game below. The short trailer features an endless nightmare maze of yellow rooms and not much else, which only adds to the mystery.
Kane Parsons (director of the upcoming Backrooms film) is widely associated with the concept based on his long-running web series. That said, there have been numerous Backrooms game titles floating around the internet over the years.
Best known for indie slasher games such as Stay Out of the House, the developer has built quite the following. So much so, that fans were first whispering rumors about a Puppet Combo Backrooms game on Reddit as far back as seven years ago.
Now, it appears the game will finally land on consoles May 14th.
Try not to get lost in all the Backrooms content this month. You may never get out.
