EXCLUSIVE: The Coven is not only heading into Cannes with their Lauren LaVera (Terrifier 2+3) starring thriller, Man or Bear, but they’ve got a full-blown horror film that was inspired by one of the most haunted houses in England.

The Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3 sales agent rolls into Cannes with multiple territory deals on recently completed, award-winning filmmaker Jeffrey Scott Collins’ supernatural horror The Caged, a historical folklore horror based on a real UK home known as “The Cage,” where women were imprisoned and then executed for witchcraft during the St. Osyth witch trials in the late 16th century.

The location still stands today, and paranormal investigators have since purchased the house, which is widely regarded as one of the most haunted places in England.

The infamous property has been covered by multiple media outlets, including the BBC, and a former owner even wrote a book after claiming she was forced out by supernatural entities while pregnant.

The Caged stars Tamzin Merchant (The Tudors, Carnival Row), Edmund Kingsley (The Witcher, Slow Horses), and Rafiella Chapman (Vesper, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children).

The Coven heads into Cannes with multiple territory deals, including deals in the UK with Signature Entertainment, CIS with Mint Films International, Germany with Lighthouse, the Philippines with 888 Films, and Poland with Media4Fun.

The film hails from the producer of IFC/Shudder’s Dolly.

Here’s the official sales trailer that’s brimming with supernatural chaos!
