With the upcoming release of Rings and a new theatrical Grudge installment on the horizon, the Scream Addicts strap on their blood-soaked thinking caps to pose the question: ”Is J-horror poised to make a return?”
The terror trio also take the time to discuss the rise of J-horror in the late 90s/early aughts, the glut of Hollywood remakes that resulted, and the likelihood of the sub-genre regaining the heights of its previous popularity.
Will the Addicts manage to actually answer their own questions? Will they possibly agree on anything? Will the entire episode result in a technology-driven supernatural vengeance that will spare no participant or viewer in its wake?
…answer’s probably ”no” to all of those, but it should be fun to tune in anyway.
So pop on your best straight black wig and get ready to croak like a frog, scream like a cat, or crawl out of your bastard neighbor’s television set on all fours as you prepare to catch this newest episode of “Scream Addicts” – ”The J-Horror of It All!!!”
