‘The Revenge of La Llorona’ Curses Theaters April 2027

Warner Bros. has set The Revenge of La Llorona, the sequel to The Curse of La Llorona, for theatrical release on April 9, 2027.
The film continues the story from the 2019 supernatural hit, with Jay Hernandez (Hostel, Quarantine) and Monica Raymund leading the cast.
Raymond Cruz returns as the curandero from the original, joined by Edy Ganem, Martín Fajardo, Acston Luca Porto, Avie Porto, and Jeff Pierre.
This time, Santiago Menghini, known for Milk and No One Gets Out Alive, directs from a script by Sean Tretta, who previously collaborated with Wan on Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Producers Emile Gladstone, Gary Dauberman, and James Wan are back for the sequel.
Michael Chaves directed the first film, set in 1970s Los Angeles, where the legendary ghost La Llorona is stalking the night… and the children. Ignoring the eerie warning of a troubled mother, a social worker and her own kids are drawn into a frightening supernatural realm. Their only hope of surviving La Llorona’s deadly wrath is a disillusioned priest who practices mysticism to keep evil at bay.
Released in 2019, The Curse of La Llorona was a box office success, earning $123.1 million worldwide on a $9 million budget.
