Wow, some news that’s not coming out of Comic Con directly. Very strange to report. But that’s what Variety is good for. They got word this morning that Legendary Pictures has come on board the production of the Gears of War to co-finance the project.

I never once thought the theatrical future of Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans was in question, but I guess it was by some parties. If you're among those parties, allow me to calm your troubled minds; the prequel will, indeed, be in theaters. I know this because Lakeshore Entertainment pres Tom Rosenberg told me.

I really don’t know how I feel about this. You never know with some directors these days, but can Len Wiseman refrain from making another Underworld?
