The official Platinum Dunes website got an update today with the very first picture from the set of Friday the 13th. Before getting too excited, only producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form appear in the pic. There's no Jason for you ... yet.

Some final casting bits found their way online today for the upcoming Friday the 13th sequel, which starts rolling very soon over in Austin, TX under the direction of Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake helmer Marcus Nispel.

All right, we’re finally getting down to the nitty gritty casting for the Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th, which starts rolling in Austin, TX on April 21st. Variety got word this morning that former “O.C.” starlet Amanda Righetti is in final negotiations to take on the lead in the Marcus Nispel-helmed redux.
