Meet the Last of the Living

Man, I don’t know if it’s something in the water or what, but there are all sorts of good things coming out of New Zealand these days for horror fans. Perhaps Peter Jackson deserves a big juicy thanks!

Today we were dropped a line about a “low on budget, high on action/comedy” zombie flick coming from the Kiwis called Last of the Living. From what I can glean, it’s about three guys trying to make their way through a post-zombie apocalypse world who are asked to become heroes when they meet a girl who might know of a cure for the infection.

For a low budgeter, it sure as hell looks like a damn professional film, better than most indie stuff that’s cranked out on the cheap in our country. Last of the Living will go back in front of cameras in December so expect it to be showing up at festivals next season.
