You're Next Prepares for Home Video Home Invasion!
We're getting pretty close to that time when all the horror websites start listing off their favorite flicks of the year, and we can be pretty sure that You're Next (review) will be popping up on a whole lot of those lists - even if it technically first saw release way back in 2011.
Three years later, it finally comes home next year. Read on for all the details!
From the Press Release
The hunt is on when "the most downright entertaining horror film of the year" (IGN), You're Next, arrives on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD Ultraviolet) and DVD (plus Digital Ultraviolet) on January 14, 2014, from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The film will also be available early on Digital HD, Video on Demand, and Pay-Per-View on December 27, 2013. Winner of the Best Film award at the Austin Fantastic Fest and runner-up for the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, the "intense and inventive" (GQ) film has delighted critics and audiences alike with its "fresh, unpredictable, and terrifying" (Ain't It Cool News) take on the home invasion/slasher genre. You're Next features a terrific ensemble cast including Sharni Vinson (Step Up 3D), Nicholas Tucci (Choose), AJ Bowen (The House of the Devil), and Ti West (Drinking Buddies), with Rob Moran (Dumb & Dumber) and horror icon Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator).
Aubrey and Paul Davison decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary by inviting their four children and their significant others to a family reunion at their remote weekend estate. But the family reunion goes awry when their home comes under siege by a mask-wearing team of crossbow-bearing assailants. The family has no idea who's attacking them, why they're under attack, or if the attackers are inside or outside the cavernous, creaking house. All they know for certain is that nobody is safe.
The You're Next Blu-ray Disc and DVD include a "making of" featurette and two audio commentaries and will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.98, respectively.
