Here’s What We Know About Final Destination 6 (Not Much)

Saw V, Paranormal Activity 4, the last three Halloweens…every franchise has a moment where the driving forces throw their hands up and say “fuck it.” The Final Destination did more than kill its entire cast, it prevented U.S. audiences from flocking to the surprisingly great Final Destination 5.
It also made the studio gun-shy with respect to making another.
Has that changed?
No. Not yet.
Last year we brought news of an interesting pitch for a Medieval Final Destination movie. That doesn’t appear to be in the cards, but neither is today’s story about a Russia-set sequel.
Our friends at Bloody Disgusting reached out to a source close to the franchise for comment on the rumors, which were squashed instantly. Bloody went on to report that Warner Brothers and New Line are talking about making another film, but they have no story as of yet.
Fear not, kids. This isn’t the last we’ve seen of the ubiquitous death. In the meantime, have a look at what might’ve been had the studio taken franchise producer Craig Perry up on his idea:
