Rest in Peace: Director James Isaac
The horror genre has lost another director at way too young an age. The name James Isaac may not jump immediately out at you, but the man has delivered some of the most fun and obscure flicks of our generation.
Isaac has passed away at the age of just 51 due to a rare form of blood cancer. His work included The Horror Show, Jason X, Skinwalkers and Pig Hunt. Before taking the director's chair, he also had an incredible FX career, working on titles like Return of the Jedi, Gremlins, The Fly and House II: The Second Story.
The news was broken today on Twitter from Jason X scribe Todd Farmer, who wrote: "RIP Jimmy Isaac. A wonderful man, husband and father. I never tear up. I thought."
We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to extend our deepest of condolences to Isaac's friends, family, and constituents. If there is a heaven, it just got an upgrade. Thanks for the memories, kind sir.

Jason X is a favorite, and House 2 is one of my childhood all time favorites... Very sad day to lose another one who carried the torch.

This sucks. Jason X is a highpoint among the Friday films and Pig Hunt was surprisingly good.
It's horrible to lose someone who might have had more horror goodness to share.
