John Goodman Becomes a Member of the Red State

And the reasons to get excited about Kevin Smith's first foray into horror, Red State, just keep on coming!
While participating in another episode of Hollywood Babble-On, Smith revealed that none other than the badass John Goodman has joined the cast of his new religion based terror film, whose cast also includes the previously announced Kyle Gallner, Melissa Leo, Dermot Mulroney, Michael Angarano, Steven Root, and Michael Parks (still no official confirmation of Kevin Pollak).
"In the film a group of kids encounter a crazed preacher (based on Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church) who gives a whole new meaning to the term 'extreme fundamentalism.'"
Those who follow the news closely may be aware of Phelps' "church". He and his followers believe that homosexuality is the root cause of almost every single problem in American history. Ironic that it's really only in America that such a person would be able to freely express his admittedly idiotic and close-minded viewpoint and gain national attention because of it.

They're posted but only for those whom are easily-excitable.
Aka.... those who still get a thrill from a slinky,or a kick out of putting silly putty on a newspaper and still stand in awe when they pull it off and can read the print on the putty.
