I hadn’t heard one word (natch) about writer-director Karthik Subbaraj’s new horror-thriller Mercury before today. But after peeping the film’s visually stunning trailer, I’m counting down the days until I can see this film.
The film’s twist is that is a silent film and follows five long-time friends, all maimed as a result of their town’s Mercury poisoning, who come together for their high school reunion before all Hell befalls them.
The film is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Jayantilal Gada and stars Prabhu Deva, Sananth, Deepak Paramesh, Shashank Purushotham, Anish Padmanabhan, Indhuja, Gajaraj.
Mercury hits over 100 screens in top markets in North America Friday, April 13.
Five long-time friends, all of whom are maimed as a result of the town’s Mercury poisoning, come together for their high school reunion. But, a moment of mischief and misfortune during the after-party puts them on a one-way road to hell.
