Check Out New Animated Trailer For Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters

As we all eagerly await the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters film from director Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat, Krampus) let’s turn our eyes back to the Japanese animated film for a moment and get ready for its Netflix release in 2018.

Below you can find an all-new trailer for Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters.

It’s awesome but it is in Japanese so, you know, there that as a drawback. But all the same, give it a watch and then make sure to let us know what you think in the comments below!

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters stars the voice talents of Mamoru Miyano (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Ultraman Zero: The Movie), Takahiro Sakurai (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), Kana Hanazawa (.hack//Quantum), Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan), Tomokazu Sugita (Attack on Titan), Junichi Suwabe (Space Dandy), Kenta Miyake (Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn), Kenyu Horiuchi (Bleach, One Piece), Kazuhiro Yamaji (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) and Kazuya Nakai (Dragon Ball Super). The film is directed by Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare) & Hiroyuki Seshita (Knights of Sidonia) from a screenplay by Gen Urobuchi (Kamen Rider Gaim).

The movie hits Netflix in 2018, and the sequel hits Japanese May 2018.

Synopsis:

In the year 2048, the human race is forced to leave Earth after decades of losing against Godzilla and other giant monsters. They take a twenty-year journey to another planet called Tau Ceti e, but upon arrival, they discover that the planet has become uninhabitable. As living conditions on their ship deteriorate, a young man named Haruo spearheads a movement to return to Earth and take it back from the monsters. The ship successfully makes the return voyage, but the crew discovers that twenty thousand years have passed and Earth’s ecosystem has evolved, with Godzilla reigning atop the new food chain.

Which Classic Movie Would Rob Zombie Like to Remake?

This past year, Rob Zombie hosted HDNet’s 13 Nights of Halloween. During the gig, he was asked a series of fan questions in a fun video, which you can check out in its entirety below. One of the fun questions was “Which horror movie would you like to remake?” And Zombie’s reply was very interesting.

One thing I always thought was possible was to remake The Creature from the Black Lagoon,” Zombie said. “Because the creature itself, in that phenomenal suit they constructed, could be exactly the same. So I think Creature from the Black Lagoon could be a cool one.”

Synopsis:

Remnants of a mysterious animal have come to light in a remote jungle, and a group of scientists intends to determine if the find is an anomaly or evidence of an undiscovered beast. To accomplish their goal, the scientists (Antonio Moreno, Richard Carlson, Richard Denning, Whit Bissell) must brave the most perilous pieces of land South America has to offer. But the terrain is nothing compared to the danger posed by an otherworldly being that endangers their work and their lives.

Actor Anton Troy Needs Your Help

On the evening of May 4, actor Anton Troy, who played the lead role in the Rusty Revolver: Origin TV pilot (review), was brutally assaulted whilst he was walking to his car after work. He received multiple stab wounds to the head, neck, and chest, and needed to spend the night in surgery. Anton in now on the slow road to recovery, although he is still in the ICU and needs to undergo more surgical procedures before he is given the all clear.

In addition to Rusty Revolver, Anton has also appeared in Chillerama, Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust, I Was a Teenage Werebear, Shooting the Warwicks, and the comedy Wingman Inc. He also serves as a leader of the Young Men’s Division of the SGI Buddhist Community, and he’s an all around great guy.

ASH VS EVIL DEAD S3 Hits Digital Today; Blu-ray/DVD This August

Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 hit Digital today and to celebrate we have word on just when you can snag the third (and final) season on Blu-ray and DVD.

Season 3 hits Blu-ray August 21st for the Lionsgate Home Entertainment. In addition to all 10 Season 3 episodes, the disc will include audio commentary by executive producer Rob Tapert on every episode.

S3 synopsis:

When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead!
