Did You Catch These Nods to The Shining and Pennywise in The Dark Tower Trailer?

Earlier today, the first trailer for The Dark Tower hit the internet. It gave us a vision of what’s to come in the full film, a hybrid mashup of western, high fantasy, sci-fi, and horror, all combined into one sweeping epic that could only come from the mind of Stephen King. And since the film comes from his work, and thanks to an interesting rumor, it seems that the film will not only take place within its own universes but other King ones as well.

In the trailer, there are two very specific moments I found that pay direct homage to other King works. First, when Jake is in his therapist’s office, there is a framed photo of the Overlook Hotel, which was the setting of The Shining. Secondly, when Jake is wandering around All-World, the setting of The Dark Tower, he stumbles across a weathered, broken down, dilapidated wagon that bears the name “Pennywise”, a nod to It. You can see pictures of both below.

Did you catch any other nods that I may have missed? If so, let me know in the comments!
