Robert Rodriguez to Soak Texas in Blood

Any time a new project from Robert Rodriguez comes along, we get excited so consider us giddy! According to Variety, Bold Films and Robert Rodriguez are ramping up development of the Texas-set horror movie project Blood.
Bold Films is also financing. No directors or actors are yet attached.
The producers have brought on Jeff Buhler, whose credits include the recently wrapped Jacob’s Ladder remake, a rewrite of Paramount’s Pet Sematary, and The Midnight Meat Train, to write the script. Misha Green (Sunflower) wrote the previous drafts.
Michel Litvak and Gary Michael Walters will produce for Bold Films. Lisa Zambri will executive produce.
The story centers on a recently engaged woman who becomes determined to find her birth family before she marries. But when she meets her unusual kin in the deep woods, she begins reliving horrifying suppressed memories that lead her to believe her newfound relatives may be hiding some dark secrets.
