Ultraman Stars in Upcoming Horror Game Project City Shrouded in Shadow; Godzilla Also?

The upcoming PS4 and Vita horror game Project City Shrouded in Shadow, from developer Granzella and publisher Bandai Namco, features a plague of giant shadows descending upon a city in Japan. Your objective is to try to escape from the city as it slowly becomes consumed by the living, evil darkness. You get to choose between a male protagonist named Ken Misaki and a female called Miharu Matsuhara, who are both pictured below.

And despite being a dark and creepy horror game, a very bright and colorful character will be showing up to save the day. Ultraman, the popular Japanese superhero who’s been featured in tons of films and games, will be appearing, presumably to help send the shadows back to where the sun doesn’t shine.

And that’s not all. Some other screenshots tease an even bigger star to be showing up in the game. Don’t take my word for it; have a look for yourself.

Yup, it looks like Godzilla will be in the game all right. Which makes sense, as Bandai Namco now has the publishing rights to Godzilla video games. Just try to forget about the pile of trash released on PS4 last year and hope that this rights the wrongs of the past and ends up being something that both Godzilla and Ultraman fans will love.
