Back in October of last year, we told you about an untitled horror anthology that had begun production, and now we have an update that includes the film’s official name and an exclusive early look at its teaser trailer.

Terror Films has picture locked Patient Seven (formerly known as “Untitled Horror Anthology”), and although the full trailer won’t be available before a release date is set, Dread Central has been given an exclusive sneak peek teaser to share.

Patient Seven centers around Dr. Marcus, a renowned psychiatrist played by Michael Ironside. He has selected six patients of the Spring Valley Mental Hospital, run by Dr. Victor (Jack Plotnick), as part of the research for his new book. Dr. Marcus interviews each patient, and one by one, as their stories unfold, we flash into the short film tied to each individual story.

The wraparound, which anchors the six segments together, was written by Barry Jay Stich and directed by Danny Draven.  Along with Ironside and Plotnick, it stars Grace Van Dien, Amanda A. Graeff, Sirry Kidd, Daniel Lench, Mark McCullough, Anna Rose Moore, Rane Jameson, and Drew Fonteiro.

The award-winning short films selected were among hundreds the company discovered while in attendance at various film festivals, including Fear Fete and Screamfest, and were directed by filmmakers from around the globe, including Nicholas Peterson, Paul Davis, Ómar Örn Hauksson, Dean Hewison, Erlingur Thoroddsen, Joel Morgan, Johannes Persson, and Rasmus Wassberg.

It took Terror Films execs over a year to sort through the submissions and select the final six films with casts boasting Amy Smart and Alfie Allen (“Game of Thrones”), among others.

The film, executive produced by Terror Films CEO Peter Schafer and produced by Joe Dain, Jim Klock, and Miles Fineburg, is scheduled for worldwide distribution, with the possibility of a limited theatrical release in mid-2016. Foreign distribution for the film will be handled by Automatic Entertainment, which is the official foreign sales arm for Terror Films.
