When news in the horror community breaks, odds are really good that we’re one of the first sites there ready to cover it! That being said, sometimes we get it so early the project doesn’t even have a title. Case in point: the new anthology from Terror Films.

From the Press Release:
Terror Films has announced the start of production on their UNTITLED HORROR ANTHOLOGY feature film that is shooting in Anaheim.

The film centers around 7 award-winning short films acquired from filmmakers all over the world, including the U.S., New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland, and the UK with casts boasting Amy Smart (Just Friends, The Single Mom’s Club) and Alfie Allen (“Game of Thrones,” John Wick), among others. The wraparound story, written by Barry Stich (The Chosen), focuses on Dr. Marcus, a renowned psychiatrist played by Michael Ironside (Total Recall, X-Men: First Class), who has selected 7 patients of the Spring Valley Mental Hospital run by Dr. Victor, played by Jack Plotnick (Reno 911), to be part of his new book. As part of the research for his book, Dr. Marcus interviews each patient – one by one as their stories unfold we flash into the short film tied to their individual story.

The film, directed by Danny Draven (Reel Evil, Ghost Month), is a throwback to the classic anthology horror films such as Tales from the Darkside: The Movie and Twilight Zone: The Movie, in which each short film is seamlessly tied together through the wraparound.

The wraparound also stars Grace Van Dien, Amanda A. Graeff, Sirry Kidd, Daniel Lench, Mark McCullough, Anna Rose Moore, Rane Jameson, and Drew Fontiero. The film, executive produced by Terror Films’ CEO, Peter Schafer, and produced by Joe Dain, Jim Klock, and Miles Fineburg, is scheduled for worldwide distribution via Terror Films in 2016. Foreign distribution will be handled by Automatic, the official foreign sales arm for the company.
