First Images from ABC Family’s Shadowhunters

We’ve been talking about ABC Family’s upcoming “Shadowhunters” series, based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, for a while now; and finally we have a few images from the show to share.
Below are three photos (courtesy of EW) in which (a) Clary and Jace are seen heading into the City of Bones — the sacred burial place of all Shadowhunters — in the second episode; (b) Jace, Clary, Alec, and Isabelle embark on a rescue mission in the third episode; and (c) Clary and Jace crash a warlock party.
“Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary (Katherine McNamara), who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters — human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy), is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and her best friend, Simon (Alberto Rosende). Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires, and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
The cast also includes Jon Cor, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle, Isaiah Mustafa, Matthew Daddario as Alec, Harry Shum, Jr., and Alan Van Sprang in a recurring role.
“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Ed Decter and McG. McG also directed the first episode, which is slated to premiere on ABC Family sometime in 2016.
