Hidden Daylight (Short)
Starring John Rice, David Rey, Ella Jane New
Directed by Adrienne Lovette
Adrienne Lovette’s mind-bending chiller Hidden Daylight promises to swerve and sway you until the short film’s final scene – good stuff all around!
After the abduction of his wife by the masked Hacksaw Killer (not terribly imaginative, however), a businessman (Rey) decides to consult with a blind psychic (Rice) who can see through the eyes of her kidnapper. Using his gift of second-sight, the seer depicts her final moments before being taken hostage, and that’s when the REAL interesting stuff begins to unfold!
Lovette expertly crafts a twisting, turning plot blindside that will surprise and entertain all in one shot. I could rant and rave about this 18-minute short, but it would take all the fun out of checking it out for yourselves, which should absolutely be done once it’s available to the public.
If it’s Hitchcock-like twists that get your blood pumping, then Hidden Daylight is the one for you.
