Directed by Dionysis and Manos Atzarakis

I swear, these short films that get submitted for review manage to get smaller and smaller in duration, but that certainly doesn’t mean they are any less powerful in display, and in the case of Dionysis and Manos Atzarakis’s yuletide-freaker, Santa, the notion and lore of the jolly old fat man has been decimated, and boy is it fun to watch!

With the uncredited casting of a young brother and sister, we see what should be a joyful holiday eve ripe with the promise and hope of children catching a glimpse of Saint Nick, but what they see will presumably ruin whatever preconceived notions that may exist about Mr. Claus. At a cellular run-time of only 90 seconds, we’re literally tossed right under the Christmas tree as the horror unfolds, and I’ll refrain from offering too much up, as a minute and thirty goes by pretty freakin’ quickly here.

Overly chilling and prospectively wrecking to a child’s belief system, Santa is one quickie that you won’t want to miss. Here’s the YouTube version for those willing to grab a peek:
