Nature Fights Man Down River

Sheldon Turner's latest pits man against jungleMen are, at their core, kind of ridiculous. I mean, why would a Corporate America guy pay an idiotic amount of money to go out “roughing it”, only to spend their nights in classy 4-star hotels? That’s was the inspiration for Down River, a new pickup by Regency from Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning penner Sheldon Turner.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story follows four men who take a real adventure trip down the Amazon instead of one of those fake “roughing it” ones, but it all goes horribly wrong when their tour guide is killed, leaving them to fend for themselves against the wilds of nature and their own slowly unraveling minds.

I like it! I just hope cannibalism is resorted to at some point; too often these days people seem to be shying away from the concept of eating of another’s flesh, and that just isn’t right. Keep you eyeballs on Dread Central for more Down River developments as they happen!
