NEWS
Guitarist/songwriter Dick Wagner passed away on Wednesday at 71. The axeman played and wrote with Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Kiss and Aerosmith, among others. Rest in peace.

Meshuggah will release a live album/DVD titled The Ophidian Trek this fall via Nuclear Blast Records.

MUSIC
Slipknot have premiered a new song tilted “The Negative One” here. They’ll be dropping a music video for the track today as well. It’s the first single from their upcoming album, due out this fall via Roadrunner Records.

Stream Darkest Hour‘s self-titled album here. It’s out today on Sumerian Records.

Listen to a new Opeth song tilted “Eternal Rains Will Come” here. Pale Communion streets August 26 via Roadrunner Records.

Watch Favorite Weapon‘s lyric video for a new song tilted “Hollow” here. The band, fronted by fronted by ex-Woe, Is Me vocalist Hance Alligood, signed to Rise Records. Their debut album, Sixty Saragossa, comes out October 14.
