New Line Planning Two Untitled Horror Movies for 2016
We recently learned that Warner Bros. from this point forward will be using its New Line division to release upcoming horror films, at long last making the brand once again a big time player on the horror scene. Today comes the news that 2016 will see the release of two New Line films, though that’s all we know at the moment. Read on for speculation!
The reveal came courtesy of The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider) over on Twitter, where he tweeted last night that WB will release the two untitled New Line films on January 29, 2016, and September 9, 2016
Many are speculating that those two movies will perhaps be the planned spin-offs of The Conjuring, following up this October’s release of Annabelle. For now that’s pure speculation, though we do know that two more spin-offs are indeed in the works.
Could 2016 mark the return of Freddy Krueger? It’s certainly a possibility as New Line is, after all, the so-called house that Freddy built!
