The Promise of Albino Farm

Albino Farm updateBeen a while since we’ve heard anything about Albino Farm, the Missouri-set kids vs. backwoods mutants film we last discussed “>back here. While personally and professionally I’m sick of movies about backwoods mutations already, something about this entry into the sub-genre appeals to me.

Fangoria caught up with the film’s writers/directors, Sean McEwen and Joe Anderson, recently, who gave the mag a meaty update on the film, which is now in post-production, as well as some great new pics like the one you see here.

Many things are discussed, but I found this bit to be the most telling as to where Albino Farm is coming from: ”The film’s fucking scary, it’s got blood and the effects and creatures [provided by Jason Barnett] rock,” McEwen promised. ”But we also wanted to explore the components of a horror film that separated it from the glut of other product on the market. While we wanted to successfully deliver the goods of a great horror movie, it was beyond important to support these intense, frightening and horrific ingredients with a strong story. Our kills aren’t just there for the sake of a visceral rush; they’re integral to the unfolding backstory and give clues as to the reality behind its extremely disturbing secrets.”

Sounds promising, no? Follow the Fango link above to learn more about it and see the rest of the pics if you agree. Hit up the official Albino Farm site as well, and keep it here for more updates as we get ‘em!
