Reeves Up for More Cloverfield, Woman
Even though it’s nowhere near the first we’ve heard of it, I guess it’s more official if it shows up in Variety, right? Director Matt Reeves is in early talks with Paramount to helm a Cloverfield (review) sequel as well as an original film called The Invisible Woman; it’s just a matter of which film is ready to go frist as to what’s next for the young director.
Invisible Woman is described as a “Hitchcockian-style thriller” about a former beauty queen who turns to a life of crime to defend her family. But does she turn invisible as well? Or is it just a metaphor?
Lining up Cloverfield 2 is just a matter of getting Reeves, producer JJ Abrams and writer Drew Gooddard to deliver another badass monster movie, which something tells me is already close to being done. Where they’ll go with the sequel is anyone’s guess, but I’m betting Reeves’ earlier comments about utilizing other found footage from the same night is a big hint.
Keep it here for more as we learn it!
