Dark Floors’ Big Premiere!
Here in the U.S., we’re lucky if a horror film with monsters and gore gets any kind of decent distribution. Over in Finland, they’re celebrating the fact that they even have a horror film with monsters and gore in a very big way.
Solar Films just announced that Dark Floors, the horror movie that stars the Finnish rock band Lordi as demons set loose in a hospital, will be premiering at the Oulun Energia Areena (not a spelling error), a 6,000+ capacity enclosure that is normally home to professional ice hockey. The premiere will go down on February 6th, two days before the film is released theatrically in its native country.
Oulu, the town where the arena is located, is also the same town Dark Floors was shot in, so the premiere makes even more sense. The film will either be followed or preceded (the press release was not clear which) by a Lordi show, which is a spectacle unto itself!
