Anderson on Castlevania, RE 4
So with Paul W.S. Anderson now officially only serving as producer on Castlevania, does that mean we can look forward to it again? IGN Filmforce chatted with Anderson and producing partner Jeremy Bolt about the upcoming video game adaptation, both of whom confirmed that Sylvain White (I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer) is in the director’s seat, so I guess it’s okay to not dread seeing this happen.
Not a whole helluva lot of new info was gleaned from their talks, other than that Castlevania will be their next game-to-film but it’s still a ways off, Anderson having not even been given a script for it yet. The intention now is to shoot Castlevania next spring.
They also squeezed out some info about the possibility of a Resident Evil 4, which Bolt admitted they haven’t thought of too hard yet since they’re in the midst of Death Race, but aren’t as opposed to the idea as they once were. Mainly, I’m guessing, because RE: Extinction did such good bank.
Though we’re not his biggest fans, there’s still something fascinating about what Anderson is involved with next, so we’ll keep an eye on him!
