‘Dead By Daylight’ Surprises Fans With Two New Collabs and Two New Games

Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight fans are in for a lot of surprises with a slew of new updates coming out of the fog for the 8th Anniversary of the title’s release, as well as news on various quality-of-life updates coming to the game in chapter 32.

The recent anniversary stream hosted by Behaviour Interactive dropped some big news. First up is the newly announced collaboration with Dungeons & Dragons, which will serve as the next chapter in the asymmetric horror survival hit.

Dungeons by Dragons?

The upcoming chapter will see the infamous Vecna added to the roster of killers as The Lich, while survivors will be joined by a pair of intrepid Bards, Aestri Yazar, and Baermar Uraz. The new content is currently live for those with access.

Finally A 2V8 Mode!

The long-requested feature update of a 2 Killer mode is officially coming our way. Fans of the Dead By Daylight series will find themselves thrown into a larger map, squaring off against 2 killers in a 2 Versus 8 mode, which is sure to add new challenges and intensity to those who seek to survive the Entity’s deadly game.

Those survivors brave (or foolish) enough to enter this mode will find a new perk system that will function more as class-based skills and the replacement of the familiar Hooks with that of Cages. More information on the new mode will come in July’s live stream, so keep your eyes peeled.

What the Fog?!

Fans of Dwight, Claudette, and Feng Min got a huge bonus surprise from the anniversary as Behaviour announced an entirely new rogue-lite co-op title based on Dead By Daylight. The new two-player game, What the Fog, is available right now, with the first two million copies free to anyone who signs into or creates a Behaviour Interactive account. Additionally, the title is now out on Steam for $4.99.

Expanding the world of Dead By Daylight

The as-yet-unnamed shooter, currently called Project T, also received an update. The anticipated action-horror spin-off is inviting players to the newly opened Insider Program for an early look at news, access to play tests, and the chance to share their own input on the title as it takes shape.

A new trailer was also dropped, teasing out the terror that lies before a group of people beset by horror during the production of an independent horror film that goes terribly wrong in The Casting of Frank Stone, coming soon from Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive. Check out The Casting of Frank Stone website for more information.

Check out the synopsis below:

In the summer of 1980, four friends set out to make their mark on horror cinema. What they capture will trigger the unthinkable. Decide their fate, develop their relationships, and guide their shoot of Murder Mill, a soon-to-be cult classic with an insidious influence…

What Evil Lurks Ahead

In a final surprise, Behavior dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming chapter featuring Castlevania, which I personally never knew I needed until now. There will definitely be more to come on this so keep your whips and stakes ready.
