Our Daily Dose today may hit close to home in this brave new world. Redundancy is a game by itch.io developer Anton Bezett. Created for the Screamlite Jam back in July, it takes place in the near future, where automation is really beginning to take hold in the workplace. More and more jobs are being taken by machines, and the company in this short horror experience is eager to get on with it.
Redundancy has you in the role of an IT specialist. The office you work in has had some server issues, and your job is to reset all the computers that have been affected. A simple task, since computers can be fixed by simply pressing the ‘fix’ button. However, this is a Daily Dose. You already know the office holds some dark secrets relating to the gigantic mechanized trash cans walking about.
