Twenty years after the film originally stomped its way into theaters, Jurassic Park returned to the big screen earlier this year in three eye-popping dimensions, breathing new life into the classic tale of dinosaurs gone wild.
The Wrap reported today that the 3D re-release of the film has taken in more than $65 million globally since April, an impressive number that gets even more impressive when you combine it with the original 1993 box office figure of around $970 million. You don’t need to be a mathematician to figure out that this brings Jurassic Park‘s total worldwide gross to well over one billion dollars, putting the film in prestigious company with movies like Titanic and Avatar.
We here at Dread Central issue a sincere congratulations to all involved (yes, even the dinosaurs) for this incredible achievement!
