Horror author and TV fanatic Stephen King thinks July is the perfect month to watch this popular AppleTV+ series. We are inclined to believe him about this dark psychological thriller because he is not just a fan. He also wrote the book on it.
King paused his near-constant celebration of other writers’ work to remind us he has some mind-bending shows currently streaming too. Specifically, a series he wrote called Lisey’s Story.

We love a summer binge, so Stephen King’s timing is amazing. However, we know some of you might need more information before boarding this train with the rest of us. So, here is everything we know about this sleepy thriller.
Rotten Tomatoes Synopsis
Lisey’s Story is a deeply personal, pensive thriller that follows Lisey Landon two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon. A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.

The series was directed by Pablo Larrain. King adapted all 8 episodes from his 2006 novel of the same name. It stars Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sung Kang, and Ron Cephas Jones.
