For context, Michel Fourniret was a known rapist and serial killer. While he was implicated in 12+ murders, he was only convicted of 8 before he died in 2021. His victims’ ages range from 9-year-olds to 30-year-olds. It’s an awful situation, to say the least.
Fourniret met Monique Olivier through a prison pen pal program while incarcerated for assaulting a young girl in 1966. He wrote to her that he wanted to rape and kill virgins once he got out, and she offered her assistance. They teamed up to follow through on his plans and evaded authorities for a long time.
Some of the victims’ families are still waiting for justice all these decades later. This is why Olivier’s role in the murders is finally being brought to the forefront in the French courts.
Viewers have taken to Twitter to give others content warnings. Others are sharing articles and details about the known victims. However, most are demanding that Olivier pays for her crimes.
