Robert Rodriguez’s Hypnotic with Ben Affleck will start shooting on September 20 in Austin, Texas. Plus Alice Braga (The New Mutants) has joined the cast too.

The film’s original start date in April 2020 was delayed due to the pandemic.
The action thriller will follow a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program while investigating a string of high-end crimes.
Rodriguez penned the script with Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island). Rodriguez, Jeff Robinov, Guy Danella, and John Graham are producing.
The project is budgeted between $60 million and $80 million.
Jeff Robinov said in a statement: “Working with Ben on his award-winning projects, including Argo and The Town, I have seen how his versatility and creativity has made him one of the most talented filmmakers both in front of and behind the camera. It’s very meaningful to be collaborating with Ben again on this uniquely riveting suspense thriller, and I know he and Robert will make a terrific film together.”
