Jodorowsky’s Work in 4K For the First Time As SANTA SANGRE Gets 4-Disc Release

Our friends at Severin Films have reached out to let us know that Alejandro Jodorowski’s work will be, for the first time ever, given the 4K treatment. And this isn’t some shoddy upscale, either. A proper 4K scan of SANTA SANGRE from the original negatives, supervised by Jodorwsky himself.
Not enough to entice you? You heathen! If that’s the case, then let me tell you that this will be a 4-disc affair, with 8 hours of special features.

Severin, not happy with bringin one of the most celebrated directors’ work to 4K glory, are also bringing out a 2K scans of William Girdler’s DAY OF THE ANIMALS and GRIZZLY, as well as Joe D’Amato’s DEEP BLOOD.
