David Arquette Teases Nobody Is Safe in SCREAM 5

Radio Silence’s Scream 5 will star David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and (hopefully) Neve Campbell with newcomers Jenna Ortega, and Melissa Barrera. And today, Arquette teases that no one – including the legacy cast – is safe this time around.

He tells Hollywood Life: “Oh, you never know. Everyone should always be worried. It’s a very scary horror film. Who knows what can happen! But I’d like to see them all [survive]. I love that they’ve all survived this long.”

We’ll see when Scream 5 hits theaters on January 14, 2022.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) direct from a script by James Vanderbilt (Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Castle Rock). Kevin Williamson and Chad Villella, are executive producing with Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak producing. Casting is underway on the flick which shoots in North Carolina this fall. As a refresher, Scream 4 picked up years after the Ghostface Killer cut a deadly path through the town of Woodsboro. In order to get over the trauma of those horrific events, Sidney Prescott (Campbell) has written a self-help book. She returns to Woodsboro for her book tour, and reconnects with old friends Gale Weathers (Cox) and Sheriff Dewey (Arquette). However, Sidney’s arrival also sparks the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney and everyone she loves in danger.
