If Genuine, New Pic of Loch Ness Monster “Easily Ranks in the Top 3 of All Time” Expert Says

With time on his hands during quarantine, Southampton resident Steve Challice poured over the hundreds of pictures he had taken on a recent vacation to Scotland. That’s when he discovered something he couldn’t identify emerging from the inky waters of Loch Ness (yes, THAT Loch Ness). He posted the picture on Facebook where (as can you can probably guess) many began to hypothesize it was proof that “Nessie” is real.

The Mirror quotes author Roland Watson (who runs the Loch Ness Mystery blog) as saying:

“If this is a genuine picture of a creature in Loch Ness, it would easily rank in the top three of all time.”

That’s a pretty big “If” as some photo experts suspect digital manipulation. While insisting the picture is genuine, even Challice has his doubts.

“My guess would be that what I captured was a catfish or something like that. As seals get in from the sea then I expect that’s what it is and that would explain why these sightings are so few and far between. I genuinely think, to this day, it’s just a big fish.”
