We’re Releasing 3 New Horror Movies: SACRIFICE, UNCLE PECKERHEAD, and LA CASA!

We’re thrilled to announce that Dread (the horror distribution arm of our parent company, Epic Pictures) has snagged three new horror movies in advance of Cannes. We’ll be releasing the Lovecraftian nightmare Sacrifice, the rock-and-roll horror-comedy Uncle Peckerhead, and the real-time horror La Casa!

Sacrifice, from Andy Collier and Toor Mian, stars horror icon Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, Beyond the Gates). The film follows an American couple reconnecting with their roots in Scandinavia; they stay in a remote village whose residents fear an underwater entity that can infect dreams.

Uncle Peckerhead, written and directed by Matthew John Lawrence, is a horror-comedy certain to appeal to fans of The Ranger and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When a young rock band hires an older roadie (the titular Uncle Peckerhead), terrifying pandemonium ensues.

La Casa, from Chilean writer-director Jorge OlguĂn, follows a police officer sent to investigate strange happenings at a home with a sordid history. The story unfolds “uncut” and in “real-time”. I’ve seen it and, believe me, watching it feels like being trapped in a haunted house!

Stay tunded for release information, trailers, and artwork reveals.

Epic Pictures formed Dread after acquiring horror website Dread Central. It also launched an AVOD channel, DreadTV, and a video game publishing division DreadXP.
