Exclusive Debut: Cringe-Worthy Body Horror on Display in Short Film HANGNAIL

Colin MacDonald is an award-winning filmmaker who has been honing his creative talents in the screen industry for over ten years. His dreams of becoming a filmmaker started at an early age when films like Night of the Living Dead, RoboCop, and Jaws captured his imagination.

Today, Dread Central is thrilled to exclusively debut MacDonald’s latest short film, Hangnail! Give it a spin and read more about the short below.

Synopsis:
That hanging piece of skin. That painful chunk of tissue that won’t let go. You rip and tear at it, but the flesh holds on. This common nuisance turns into a grisly nightmare in Hangnail.

Director’s Statement:
Hangnail was a film idea that’s been hanging around waiting to be ripped free. After spending years dreaming of making it, I can’t wait to make the internet cringe with pain from watching Hangnail.”

Hangnail stars Nicole Barron as Elisabeth and includes an original score by Dread Central’s own Jerry Smith.
