First Look: New GODZILLA VS. KONG Titan Will Be The “Embodiment of Nightmares”

While Adam Wingard’s mega-budget monster mash Godzilla vs. Kong is still officially set to hit theaters this November it might be delayed until May 2021.

And today we have new images of Titanus Camazotz which were revealed at the recent Legendary Comics WonderCon@Home panel. The new Titan is described as male and being like “darkness” and the “embodiment of nightmares.”

The Mayan half-man, half-bat monster god is from an upcoming prequel graphic novel written by Marie Anello with illustrations by Zid. There’s currently no word on whether or not Camazotz ends up on the big screen. We’ll keep you posted.

The monster mash takes place in a time when monsters walk the Earth and humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth.

Godzilla vs. Kong is directed by Adam Wingard from a screenplay written by Terry Rossio based on Godzilla by Toho and King Kong by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, and Brian Rogers produce. It stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, Zhang Ziyi, and Demián Bichir. The clash of the titans (may) hit theaters on November 20, 2020.
