Another 100 Feet Update
As is usually the case when a film is done shooting and deep in the throes of post production, all has been quiet on the front of Eric Red’s return to directing, 100 Feet.
But have no fear, it’s all for good! Red just posted on his official blog, hosted by those sexy beasts at Arrow in the Head, with a status report. Here’s a snippet:
“The picture has a slow and deliberate build, then its balls to the wall. Our sound editor is Stephen Hunter Flick, who did the sound for the “The Hitcher” and also did films like “Die Hard,” “Robocop” and “Total Recall.”” Red blogs, “Sound and frightening use of subliminal sound effects will play a big part in the fear factor of this film. The film will be completed in January 2008. The foreign sales company is Voltage Pictures and territories all over Europe have already been sold.”
Now, of course, comes the fun of finding a US distributor, but I’m sure with names like Famke Jensen and Bobby Cannavale (not to mention Arrow himself, John Fallon), 100 Feet won’t be a hard sell at all.
